We are going to be friends! For an entire day, from the first child waking up to the last child to go down, I’ll be in your home, documenting the many wild, soft, gorgeous, chaotic, quiet moments that glitter through your everyday routine- whether you are aware of them or not. After an hour or so, you’ll forget I have a camera in my hands. By the end of the day, chances are we’ll feel like family.
With Day in the Life sessions, I take a purely photojournalistic approach to photographing your family. That means I do not pose or alter the scene or the routine whatsoever- I don’t can’t even scoot a table out of the way or turn on a light. I am only there to document the day as it unfolds.
The images that result from a Day in the Life session are absolutely unmatched by any other type of family photography. Each image tells a story. Each album will provide a lifetime of savoring, laughing, reminiscing over every detail that defines life just as it was- whether that’s mountains of laundry on the couch, freckles and lose teeth, or a father lying face down on the ground at the end of the day, exhausted, while a troop of toddlers treat him like a jungle gym
Day in the Life albums preserve a time in your life that is fleeting- whether you’re wearing your baby on your chest as you shop at the farmers market, help your ten year old with her homework after supper, or take your trio of teenage sons to the beach. This time is worth documenting. Sooner than you could ever believe, it will be gone.
